MODE OF ACTION: Efdal Kapiyo is an insecticide in Oil Based Suspension Concentrate (OD) formulation created by combining two different active ingredients. Indoxacarb, one of these two active ingredients; It is effective as a contact and stomach poison. It acts by blocking the sodium channels in the nerve cells of insects, and shortly after spraying, the pest's feeding and other activities stop or are greatly reduced. Abamectin is an insecticide and acaricide with stomach poison and contact effect. Although its systemic activity is limited in the plant, it has a good translaminar effect. Thus, it is easily transported from one point to another on the leaf and controls pests by moving within the leaf.

INFORMATION ABOUT RESISTANCE: The plant protection product named EFDAL KAPİYO is an insecticide classified as Group 22 and 6 according to its mechanism of action. Repeated applications of plant protection products with the same mechanism of action encourage the development of resistance. Therefore, in order to delay the development of resistance, do not exceed the total recommended number of applications of EFDAL KAPİYO within the same production season. In cases where the application must be repeated, be careful to use plant protection products with different mechanisms of action (except Groups 22 and 6).

COMPATIBILITY: It is not recommended to mix with other plant protection products. If a mix is required, a pre-mix test is recommended.

Usage

To detect adult emergence against tomato moth, sexually attractive pheromone traps are used in the field (1-2 traps/ha) and in the greenhouse (1 trap/greenhouse) immediately after planting. The traps are checked once a week and when the first adult is seen in the trap, at least 100 plants are checked according to the size of the production area and eggs, larvae and pupae are searched in the flowers, leaves, stems and shoots of the plant. If 3 out of 100 plants are contaminated with any biological stage of the pest, application is made.

Sprayings to be made against codling moth should be directed according to the prediction and early warning system. The aim in the fight against codling moth is to keep the trees sprayed during the larva emergence of each generation and to kill the larvae that hatch from the eggs before they enter the fruit.

All plants in a randomly selected 3 m row length are checked against cotton greenworm, greenworm eggs and larvae are counted and application is decided when an average of 2 larvae are found in a 3 m row length.
