Cotton- Red Spiders: The field is divided into 4 sections and one leaf is taken from 25 plants in each section at 10-15 steps and a count is made with a magnifying glass on a total of 100 leaves. If 5 red spiders are reached per leaf in the Mediterranean Region and 10 in the Aegean and Southeastern Anatolia Regions, coating application is made. Partial application can be made in edge contamination. If ground equipment pulled by a tractor is used, nozzles should be used between rows.
Tomato, pepper (greenhouse), cucumber (greenhouse), gherkin (greenhouse), eggplant- Red Spiders: Application should be made when an average of 5 live red spiders are seen per leaf in cucumber and eggplant and 3 live red spiders are seen in tomato and pepper.
Tomato-Tobacco whitefly: Application is started when an average of 0.5-2 larvae are seen per leaf in 50 leaves in May-June, 2-3 larvae in July-August and 3 larvae are seen in September.
Watermelon-Red Spiders: When an average of 5 live red spiders are found per leaf, a decision is made to combat it.
Strawberry-Red Spiders:
Early application: In strawberry fields where red spiders are a problem every year, an application should be made when red spiders are seen during the flower and green fruit period (before the first ripe fruits are seen). Early application is safer as it does not leave residue on the fruits.
In-season application: In cases where early application is not made, strawberries grown in the open are checked at 3-5 day intervals at the beginning of the season (late March-early April). Red spiders are seen on the surrounding plants at the beginning of the season in strawberries. It is sufficient to check and apply these plants first. If the population is widespread, at least 50 leaflets are examined in the middle and lower parts of the plant to represent the field. Application is decided if 15 or more red spiders are detected per leaflet. Application is made immediately after fruit collection. Harvest should be done by paying attention to the period between the last application and harvest. Carnation (Greenhouse) - Two-spotted red spider: Application should be made when an average of 3-5 mobile individuals are seen per leaf in 25-30 leaves representing the greenhouse. 0.2% adhesion adjuvant should be used in carnation. Other plants do not require the use of adjuvant.
